Mechanical engineering application with plastic profiles

Mechanical engineering

High quality standards and reliable function are baseline requirements in mechanical engineering. Heller Kunststoffe manufactures six documented profile families: sealing profiles for control systems, plug-in profiles for positioning separators in control cabinets, plus holding, rail, floor and cover profiles for housings and structures.

Six profile families in use

All six come from real customer projects. The cards stack as you scroll to keep the overview.

01

Holding profile

Holds components in a defined position: the basis of many fixtures and guides.

Holding profile
02

Rail profile

Structural profile for frames and rails, extruded rigid from hard compounds.

Rail profile
03

Floor profile

Finishes machine floors cleanly and protects edges in rough daily operation.

Floor profile
04

Sealing profile

Seals control and housing systems against dust and splashes, dual-hardness on request.

Sealing profile
05

Plug-in profile

Positions separators in the control cabinet: the groove machined exactly to your sheet thickness.

06

Cover profile

Covers edges, grooves and rails: protection against damage plus a clean finish.

FAQ: Mechanical engineering profiles

Which plastic profiles does Heller manufacture for mechanical engineering?

Six documented families: holding, rail, floor, sealing, plug-in and cover profiles, used among others in control system and cabinet construction.

What are plug-in profiles used for in control cabinets?

Plug-in profiles hold and position separator elements in the cabinet. We machine the groove geometry to match your separator and sheet thickness.

Are antistatic or flame-retardant versions possible?

Yes. For sensitive environments we process antistatic or UL 94 V-0 listed materials on request. Details in manufacturing.

Does a custom profile pay off for small machine series?

Often yes: we also manufacture in very small quantities. What the tool costs and what drives it is explained in our article on tooling costs.

Designed? Then we extrude it.

Send us a drawing, a sample or simply the installation situation. We will get back to you with an initial technical assessment.
